Sakhar Free Shukrawar is a Conexus Foundation initiative, supported by Sanofi India, in association with Department of Health, Government of Goa.
SAKHAR FREE SHUKRAWAR is a fun competition where children compete in culinary skills, while learning more about good nutrition and better diabetes management.
To increase awareness on better diabetes management, we intend to involve kids in healthy dietary practices, by involving them in the cooking of those dishes.
Cooking is a fun activity, where the family spends time together and bonds. Taking this idea forward, the contest is to create a platform that rewards children for innovating and learning something new in the kitchen.
This is in the hope that ‘healthy recipes’ directly relate to the adoption of a healthy lifestyle.
Children can do this by themselves or along with their parents.
Nutrition is one of the most important aspects of achieving a healthy, diabetes-free lifestyle. In order to convey the importance of maintaining a healthy lifetsyle amongst children, we provide them with a platform to show their culinary skills and ‘re-invent’ some classic / conventional dishes.
